Project Manager

A growing family orientated Glass contractor in Livonia seeks a project manager with a high degree of professionalism and integrity; this position is responsible for the supervision of multiple projects. The Project Manager must meet all project goals (i.e. negotiating with suppliers, change orders, critical path dates, punch list completion and closing reports). Maintain constant communication with management and contractor regarding project status.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: o Manage assigned construction projects from inception to completion including the project timeline and budget. o Review and evaluate bidding documents and work to decrease cost. o Oversee the submittal/approval process along with code compliance. o Negotiate vendor pricing and contractor change orders. o Be fully knowledgeable of contract terms and ensure full compliance throughout construction phase. o Order materials. o Coordinate labor needs with our superintendent, fabrication and field job leader to review job progress and any outstanding issues. o Visit the jobsite on a regular basis to ensure project progress, quality and jobsite safety. o Monitor work and ensure that all requirements are being met. o Prepare closeout documents.

MINIMUM DESIRED REQUIREMENTS: o Typically requires at least 3-5 years of construction experience or a construction management degree. o Typically proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD. o Requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business correspondence. o Requires the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. o Must be able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks. o Must be an effective communicator with vendors, subcontractors, owners and co-workers.
