Safe2Work

As outlined in our preceding Safety Policy, we are keenly aware of the need for a safe worksite and clear safety training. In this regard many of the major industries and contractors in the Metro Detroit area agreed to subscribe and require compliance with the Safe2Work program. This is a very high quality instructional program with a testing module for each area of study. There are 14 modules of study which pertain to worksite safety. To be fully qualified an employee must complete all 14 modules, each of which requires an hour or two of testing.

With our emphasis on safety, we didn't wait for the program to be set up on an area wide basis, but immediately started the learning and testing certification process by using the internet. Edwards Glass Co. leads the industry in certification of its work force.

In addition to this program all of our field employees are required to submit to random yearly drug testing, and yearly first aid recertification.
